April 2008

We are so fortune and pleased to announce that Danielle Car has joined us.  Danielle is an outstanding lead vocalist, multi-instrumentalist (guitar, fiddle and banjo) and accomplished and respected songwriter.  Her on stage energy and "take no prisoner" attitude is a natural fit for us and we are SO excited that she wanted to join forces with us!!

2007

February 11, 2007

Happy NEW YEAR everyone!!!!  We hope you all had a safe and outstanding holiday season, we sure did!!!

2007's starting out where 2006 left off and we couldn't be happier!!!  We played the "Country Nights" at Memphis Smoke  sponsored by DetroitCountryMusic.com and despite the cold weather so many people came out to support us, we were so grateful!!!   We played all the cuts from our upcoming CD (see below) as well as some of our new material.  We were so pleased at how the material was received that now we have quite a decision to make in picking the last 3 songs for our CD, but that's a good thing let me tell you!!

Speaking of our CD let me give you an update.  We started recording in November and we're still going strong anticipating it will be completed by March.  The process has been a challenging, yet fun one for the band.  It's actually opened us all up to talents we didn't know each other had, as well as sharing new traditions (Pepsi with peanuts is a must... Thanks Al!)  Once it's completed and packaged we're looking at doing a release party, so please stay tuned for more details to follow!!!

Thank you again for all of your continued support!  Be sure to check back for the latest information.

2006

October 21, 2006

The month started with us opening for Clint Black, Dwight Yokam, Bombshell and Gary Nichols along with The Forbes Brothers and Redhill on October 7th at DTE (Pine Knob), a place we've always wanted to play! Detroit's WYCD sponsored the concert for their 13th Birthday Bash!!  The weather cooperated and the crowd was awesome, we had a blast!

This past week we met with Tom Gelardi who has helped the catapult the careers of people such as Wayne Newton, Bob Segar, Grand Funk Railroad and Heart.  He is very interested in working with us and helping us live our dream!  He is a wealth of knowledge with 48 years of experience in the music business and our brainstorming session produced some great ideas and plan, which you can be sure we'll be jumping on!!!

Within the next couple of weeks we'll be heading in to the studio to begin recording our debut CD.  With the help of Nashville writers, as well as the band we've got some awesome tunes to cut.  We're looking to release in January and/or February, so please stay tuned!

We're keeping our fingers crossed because we're being considered for a huge Christmas concert.  If and when it happens we'll be sure to post it on our site.

We would like to thank our families for all of their support!!!!  Most people don't know just how much time musicians spend writing, arranging, rehearsing and putting shows together and our families have stood behind us all the way.... Thank you and we love you all!!!!!!

Thanks also to our fans and supporters!  We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you!!

Thank You!!!

August 18, 2006

Wow, what a month this has been so far!!!  This past Tuesday, August 15th we were guests on the Fox 2 morning show.  We did a interview and then performed one of our tunes, "un-plugged" and had a blast.

Last night, August 17th we opened for Billy Ray Cyrus at Meadow Brooke Theater in Rochester Michigan.  It was our first "live" gig and it couldn't have went better.  We had a great crowd and Billy Ray and his band were great to us and made us feel right at home.

If you haven't had the opportunity to see a Billy Ray Cyrus show you should, he's got an outstanding band and a great show.  He gives you a great taste for his new CD, yet makes sure his long time fans hear the tunes they love.  Afterwards he spent over an hour signing autographs and talking to fans.

We would be remiss if we didn't thank Palace Sports/Entertainment for all they've done for us.  If it wasn't for them we wouldn't have had the opportunity to work with Billy Ray nor the Fox 2 morning show.  They have been so supportive and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts!!!!

To round out the month we're playing at the Kenny Chesney "Pre-concert Beach Bash" in downtown Detroit at Campus Martius Park on Saturday, August 26th at 11:00 AM.

Pictures and video from the both the Fox 2 morning show and Billy Ray Cyrus show will be on this site soon, stay tunned!!

August has been a good month for us and we thank each and every one of you who has supported us!!!!

WSM - 80 Years On The Air.......

As I told you in our last update WSM celebrated 80 years on the air in January.  When you think about it that's truly amazing that one radio show could last that many years and still prosper as it does today.  So, the next time your out on a Friday or Saturday night turn on AM 650 and give it a listen, now that's where the roots of country music still play!

Now You're Caught Up.......

Guess that catches you up on everything to date, thanks for stopping by, enjoy your summer and stop back soon for an update!

P.S.  What'd we do last year, read on.........

On Sunday May 14th the Oakland Press published a very nice feature story on us.  If you missed it you check it out here ====> Press Releases.

On Saturday May 20th we played the Detroit Downtown Hoedown opening for:

Doug Stone and Mark Wills

House of Blues Video Productions made their first appearance at this years hoedown and broadcast "Live video" across the Internet.  Incidentally they have a web page set up for you to view concert footage at your convenience,  so if you didn't get to the Hoedown or simply want to see it again, it's there 24 X 7 for you.

WDIV-TV (Detroit, Michigan) was also there and recorded two of our songs which will be included (unless we hit the cutting room floor) in a special called "Country Blowout", what the papers for an air date.

Country.com was there too broadcasting the audio portion of the show across the Internet. 'Bout time the world learned about Detroit's Hoedown and how great it is!  Our thanks go out to Country.Com,  House of Blues Productions, and of course WDIV-Detroit for spreading the word!

On Saturday July 8th we opened for Warner and Asylum recording artist Lila McCann at the Young Country Jam in conjunction with the Taylor Summer Festival and couldn't have asked for a better night!  No rain, mid 70's and a great, great crowd!  Thank you to all of you that made it and I hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did!
